Hunger remains the #1 cause of death in the world. India is home to the largest undernourished and hungry population in the world. 194.6 million people in India go hungry everyday. Over 25 lakh Indians die of hunger every year, that means over 7000 people everyday. 1 in 4 children in india are malnourished. Food should not be a privilege, it is a basic amenity that no one should be deprived of.

FeedOn is a movement started by Arjun Sawhney and Jessy Jindal, two students in the eleventh grade at the Shri Ram School Moulsari, which aims at making good quality, fresh food available to people from needy sections of society. Our aim is to eliminate the no.1 cause of death in India and the world, Hunger.

Sponsoring a few meals every month does not cost much to restaurants and does not make a big difference to us, the privileged ones, but receiving a meal can make a world of difference to someone who routinely goes to bed with a grumbling stomach. FeedOn collects and serves good quality sponsored restaurant food to those who need it, the 194.6 million hungry people in India. So help us brighten someone's day and help them experience the excitement of trying new foods and tastes.

  • "It was lovely working with FeedOn, there are only few things in your daily life that give you this level of satisfaction. Kudos to the FeedOn team for being to organised and pulling together such a brilliant model. Extremely happy to be associated with such great bunch of people and initiative."

  • "When I joined Feedon, initially it used to be more of a 'help the underprivileged' sort of a thing for me. But then after visiting a few places such as Earth Saviours repeatedly I found myself developing a bond with the people there. And I came to realise that a few of them need food for survival but most of them need some company too and don't want outsiders to look at them with pity. After about half a year the tables had turned and more than us helping them, they were helping us learn a plethora of different values. All in all I think FeedOn has made a huge impact in our society as well as in the lives of all of its stakeholders may it be the people who give the food, the ones who take or simply the intermediaries that is us, the volunteers."

  • The happiness one gets by providing a hungry stomach with fresh and tasty food is something that can never be bought and can never be forgotten ! My experience with FeedOn has not only been a long one but also an amazing one , FeedOn has not only given out more than 10,000 meals to undernourished and underprivileged kids and elders but has also given us (the volunteers ) a way of making someone else happy which makes us even more happy. "No one has ever become poor by giving" is something Anne frank said in order to inspire more and more people to be more open to giving the poor. FeedOn has not only inspired that in me but also inspired me enough to make my friends and family also help wherever they can.
